How long will the course take to complete? Roughly 30 hours of video lessons, then researching suppliers on top. You can either smash it out, or finish 1-2 lessons a week. Some lessons are 15 minutes, others are 2 hours.
What if I don't finish the course in the allocated time? You may have the opportunity to purchase the course at a discounted rate for another year. Just get in touch with us, and we will see what we can do for you to extend your course.
Why is it only a years access to complete the course? We really want to encourage you to finish the course and by giving you a deadline, you are more inclined to finish it. If we give you life long access, we find that students put off finishing the course. We also will be updating the course content every year so we want the information to be as relevant and up to date as possible for you.
Im not an interior designer, is this course is JUST for interior designers? We have developed this course for anyone who wants to learn more about the building and construction, products and the processes of building. So if you are working for a building in admin, prestart, drafting, sales, you will find a huge benefit to this course.
I haven't completed my Interior Design Studies, do I need to wait until I finish? No. You dont even have to be studying or finished studying. This course is essential information that will help you not only in your design journey but in your studies.
Why isn't this information included in my formal studies if it's so important? The institutes cant teach everything. They want to teach you the tools to be creative, think outside the box and how to articulate your design. But we know the lecturers and course creators of these institutes dont actively work in the industry so the information that we teach is relevant information RIGHT NOW that you need to know in the industry. Since this information is ever changing, want to teach static subjects.They class this information as "experience" yet it can take years to obtain all this information. Thats why this course will FASTRACK your career.
Do I need to have Studied Interior Design to do this course? No. This is a great starting base for Building and Construction knowledge even before you have started studying. In fact, even if you are considering Interior Design as a career path, this course will give you a really good insight into what its like to work in the industry, and gauge whether its right for you before you invest in a long term course.
I don't live in Perth, is this course only for Perth Students? Our course is based around WA Construction methods (double brick homes) and WA trades but generally all suppliers we mention are Australia Wide. We have tried to make the course as broad as possible, so even if you live elsewhere in Australia 95% of the course will be relevant to your location and Australian wide suppliers.

Kristie Hill founded Colourcube Interiors in 2012 after working extensively in the Building Industry as a Prestart Consultant. She completed her Interior Design Studies and decided to work as a freelance designer providing Interior Design services to Perth's Elite Builders. In the past 10 years the company has grown to 3 staff, and they work on luxurious high-end homes providing a combination of Prestart and Custom Interior Design & Styling Services.
